Storytelling Through Music

6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Beaumont Branch
Large Meeting Room

Event Details

Without words, music has often been used throughout history to tell stories; folk tales, bluegrass music, jazz, classical – almost every genre of music has been used to tell stories and pass our history down from one generation to the next. Each instrument has a different sound and a different story to tell, just as each piece of music does. Join us as we explore the different musical works and individual musical elements that help music tell a story. Presented by The Lexington Philharmonic. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Event Type(s): Music
