Introduction to DSLR Photography

Get your camera off the auto settings and learn to use the functions that your camera offers to create the photos you want. We’ll discuss the DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera, Aperture, Shutter Speed, Exposure Modes, Metering Modes, Composition, Lenses, and basic Flash use. Classes will be on Sundays, November 5th, 12th, 19th and 26thfrom 2-4 p.m. Classes will be held at Tates Creek library in the large conference room. Please Note: These are not stand alone classes. Each 2-hour session builds on the prior session. To receive maximum benefits of this class please plan to attend all four sessions. If weather permits there will also be a class field trip. No digital post-processing will be covered. Please register for all four sessions. Bring your camera and instruction manual. Class is limited to 15 participants. This is a free class.
