Event Details

Hackers aren't always criminals. The term hacker actually originated at MIT to denote an individual whose curiosity lead to discovery. In fact, Limor Fried (of Adafruit Industries) Steve Wozniak (Co-Founder of Apple) and Linus Torvalds (Creator of Linux) have all been lovingly dubbed hackers by their peers. This class will delve into the fundamentals of creating custom electronics. Ideas from this class can help you create home automation devices, electronic prototypes for a new invention, or just fun lighting for your cosplay costume - the possibilities are endless! Prerequisite: Students should be able to use a mouse and keyboard.
